Recorded by engineer by Kurt Ballou at God City Studios, “True Nihilist” is The Hope Conspiracy’s latest, and possibly greatest, recorded effort to date. From the first seconds of opener “In The Shadow Of God”, it is apparent that something wicked has awoken. With a rhythm section sounding like the beating heart of an animal about to.

I found about this band from the "File 03" EP by The Hope Conspiracy when they covered "Treason", and the Big Black fans out there, know that 2 of these guys also played in that band. • Vudorr says:
'In the Shadow of God' starts off the record with the traditional HopeCon sound. Heavy and melodic guitars over a intricate drum part make the track sound like a 'Death Knows Your Name' b-side. The vocal performance of the band has always been intriguing, but on 'True Nihilist' it seems as if maybe Kevin Baker has begun to have his age catch up to him.
